“Looking at tonight’s Prizewinners makes me think that solutions do exist and are within our reach if we know how to see them,” continued the Director-General, after congratulating the five winners of this year, Professor Jill Farrant of South Africa, Prizewinner for Africa and the Arab States, Professor Ingrid Scheffer of Australia, for the Asia and the Pacific region, Professor Bonnie Bassler of the United States of America, for North America, Professor Frances Ashcroft of the United Kingdom, for the Europe region and Professor Susana López of Mexico, for Latin America.
